Our goal is to repurpose
This is our farm and our home, and we want it to be here for our children’s children. When we finish extracting from the land, our quarry pits are repurposed into pristine lakes where wildlife can thrive. We turn our crusher parts into fire pits, and we have planted hundreds of trees ensuring we do our part to leave behind a positive footprint on the environment.
Around the Quarry
Solar energy powers our workshops reducing our reliance on the grid and repurposing our energy wisely. We are also part of a tariff scheme called load shedding. Throughout the year we power off the plant, especially on hot days, so that electricity can be saved and shared as needed across our local municipality.
About us
A place to grow
In the 1950s Albino Giannarelli arrived in Seymour and laid the grass roots for what is now a thriving and beautiful farm, home, and quarry. Cradled by rolling fields, green hills, and stunning lakes we are one of the few sustainably driven quarries in Australia. This has been our family farm for many years, we live and work here, so, it means a lot to us that it remains a beautiful space to be passed down for future generations to enjoy.
We are different
The fascination with trucks, equipment and earthworks was naturally passed down. It is in our blood from watching our father as we grew up. Today GVR is a third-generation family-owned business. Our Certified team share our values, ethos and love for our community offering exceptional service, quality, and attention to detail with every customer.
